We want to welcome all of the returning and new families to the new school year. It was a great first week back.
Classroom rules, grace and courtesy were the main themes this week. Setting the ground rules for the classroom community is such an important part of the success of a Montessori classroom. Teachers also introduced the various work areas of the classroom so the children can locate their work and return it to its correct place.
The children have begun their study of the human body. They learned about their eyes, nose, mouth and ears are creating their own faces to display in the classroom.
Classes are also introducing leaves, showing the various shapes and sizes.
The children are settling in well and their learning has been set in motion.
